Fort Collins Engagement at Horsetooth Reservoir

There is definitely something to be said for "Golden Hour", but I am just in love with "Blue Hour". That last little bit of warmth in the sky mixing with those deep blues and purples of dusk is what dreams are made of for me. For these shots, I shoot wide open (at a low F-stop) to let in as much of the remaining light left in the day, and at the slowest shutter speed I can get away with.

Fort Collins gets some pretty delicious sunsets, mix that in with some natural wildflowers, tall grasses, and mountain lake views, and you've got a recipe for a seriously romantic photo session.
